![Today marks exactly 1 month till my 40th birthday, as well it’s a new moon in my beloved sign of Scorpio. I really feel a new beginning of something, the beginning of real, raw, authentic and unapologetic version of me. The version that does not bow to anyone to be liked, does not diminish her truth just to be accepted, does not make herself small, so that others can feel comfortable around.
I really felt this year was a year of shedding - yet another year of letting go. It almost felt like my own skin was ripped off my body. I felt the rawness of the true version of me being born from the ashes like a Sphinx. To celebrate that I want to share the quote from the goddess Kali book I was gifted a while ago.
‘Great Goddess, who art Thou?
She replies: I am essentially Brahman [the Absolute].
From me has proceeded the world comprising Prakriti [material substance]
and Purusha [cosmic consciousness], the void and the Plenum.
I am [all forms of] bliss and non-bliss.
Knowledge and ignorance are Myself.
I am the five elements and also what is different from them, the pañchabhūtas [five gross elements] and tanmātras [five subtle
elements].
I am the entire world.
I am the Veda as well as what is different from it.
I am unknown.
Below and above and around am I.’

She is the one who has been feared, disliked for her true power, and highly misunderstood because of her darkness and capacity to destroy. Therefore, she is MY GODDESS - the only goddess I can actually bow down to, not from fear, but from respect and deep devotion. Because I feel understood and seen by her, because I embody her essence: the power achieved through accepting the darkness within. Because that’s the only true way to light. As above so below ♾️
